Wednesday June 6 - Broadway South Passes Senate Vote

• In perhaps the most definitively important day in the history of the Broadway South legislation, Senate Bill 218 moves to the Senate floor. After a brief dialogue between Senators, some objecting to the new amendments that protect the production credits, Broadway South is voted upon and passes with a 31-5 vote. The vote is a statewide mandate. We also pick up 12 additional Senate legislative authors for SB 218 closing an amazing victory for Broadway South. Passage in the Senate paves the way for the House Ways and Means Committee to deliberate and hopefully pass the bill. Then, Broadway South will become Louisiana state policy.
