Monday June 11 - Conference call with Alex Fraser, Judith Allen, and Lisa Miller
9:00 AM
• From New York, Alex Fraser and Judith Allen, experts in the theatre industry, are engaged to further develop the Broadway South business plan for a positive post-legislative period. The plan will be used to seek a myriad of investors to the New Orleans and state areas to invest in the various aspects of Broadway South. They are leaders in their field and have experience in many areas around the country in developing theatre plans for communities. Fraser and Allen will be traveling to New Orleans next week to gain further information on the impacts of Broadway South.
• Later in the day, I drive to Baton Rouge to attend the hilarious yet important Vieux To Do benefit that is a mock talent show cum parody where Governor Blanco and state legislators appear in the opening skit. The event is a great, comfortable venue by which to network with state representatives who will be considering the Broadway South legislation in the upcoming week. The bill is scheduled to appear on Monday June 18 before the House Ways and Means Committee and I get a feeling of strong support and great excitement for Broadway South!
