• After driving back from Baton Rouge that morning, I attend an all-important meeting with the editorial board of the Times-Picayune. The meeting lasts more than an hour, the board asks a lot of important questions about the benefits of Broadway South for New Orleans, and I feel that the meeting goes really well. Hopefully the Times-Picayune will give Broadway South a positive endorsement as its support will give its readers knowledge of the initiative and information on how to support the bill.

12:30 PM
Lunch with Maria Roussell of the new Hilton on Saint Charles Avenue

• Maria and I discuss the development of the theatre atop the Hilton Hotel on St. Charles Avenue, the former Masonic Temple Theatre. We also review other opportunities for the theatre and the hotel under the Broadway South package. This is all part of integrating the hotel, restaurant, and tourism industries into the Broadway South offering. The fact that the Hilton has one of the most gorgeous theatres on top of it is an added bonus for the hotel and for Broadway South.
